Terms of Service

These terms cover the VRCVerify Discord bot, the dashboard at dashboard.vrcverify.com, and this website. Using any of them means accepting them. The service is operated by Esatto Technologies, United States.
1. What the service does
VRCVerify checks whether a member's VRChat account has been age verified by VRChat, and assigns a Discord role accordingly. It also provides related automation that a server administrator can configure.
We do not perform age verification ourselves. VRChat does. VRCVerify reads the result VRChat reports and acts on it. We do not handle identity documents, and we cannot vouch for the accuracy of VRChat's determination, the honesty of the person who made it, or whether the VRChat account belongs to the person using the Discord account beyond the code check described in the Privacy Policy.
A server operator remains responsible for its own community. VRCVerify is one signal, not a guarantee, and it is not a substitute for moderation. Do not rely on it as your only control where the consequences of being wrong are serious.
2. Who may use it
- You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and meet Discord's minimum age for your country.
- You must comply with VRChat's terms in respect of your VRChat account.
- A person who adds the bot to a server, or buys a subscription for one, must be authorised to act for that server.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use VRCVerify to harass, deanonymise or endanger anyone; do not try to verify an account you do not control; do not attempt to circumvent, overload or reverse the verification process; and do not resell access to it.
We may suspend or remove the bot from a server, or refuse service to an account, where these terms are broken or where the service is being used in a way that risks the shared VRChat account the service depends on.
4. Free and paid features
Verification itself is free and we intend to keep it that way. A per-server subscription, called Premium, unlocks additional automation. What each tier includes is listed on the dashboard and may change; if a paid feature is removed during a paid period we will say so in advance.
Premium is per server, not per person. It applies to the Discord server it was bought for and cannot be transferred between servers.
5. Buying, billing and renewal
Premium can be bought two ways, and which one you use changes who you are contracting with for the payment.

- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- Prices are shown exclusive of tax. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing location.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Premium continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Where a free trial is offered, it is stated on the plan before you buy. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged.
- We may change prices. A change never affects a period already paid for, and we will give notice before it applies to a renewal.
- Purchases made through Discord are governed by Discord's own terms and refund rules, which we do not control and cannot override.
Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Availability
The service is provided as-is, without any guaranteed level of availability. It depends on Discord and VRChat, and on a single shared VRChat account; any of those can fail, rate limit us, or change without notice. We do not promise that verification will be available at any particular moment.
7. Termination
You can stop using VRCVerify at any time by removing the bot from your server. Doing so does not automatically cancel a subscription — cancel it through whichever channel you bought it, as set out above.
We may suspend or end the service, in whole or for a particular server, where these terms are broken, where required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue it while you have paid for a period, we will refund the unused part of that period.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, VRCVerify is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for anything arising from the acts of members of your server.
Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Where you have paid us nothing, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Not affiliated
VRCVerify is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by VRChat Inc. or Discord Inc. VRChat and Discord are trademarks of their respective owners.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced in the support channel. Continuing to use VRCVerify after a change means accepting it. If you do not accept a change, remove the bot and cancel any subscription.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
